We made it! John O’Groats to Land’s End in 4 days on 50cc mopeds. All still in bed at the moment resting after the journey. We’ll be updating the blog shortly, once we’ve uploaded the pictures.

In December 2010 Danny McMorrow was taken ill with meningococcal septicemia, what you and I commonly know as meningitis. It’s caused extensive damage to Danny’s nerves and muscles, but with the help of a charity, the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability, Danny is learning to use his voice and his body again.

Danny’s friends have decided they want to do something to help this fantastic cause, so they’re doing a sponsored ride from one end of the country to the other; John O’ Groats to Land’s End using 50cc mopeds, keep your eyes peeled for them at the between the 24th and 28th of June! Why not donate now?

I met one of the team in a petrol station in Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire. He was looking for directions to get on the road to Carlisle, and I heard all about your mammoth journey. Well done guys; really great effort. I hope you enjoyed it and were not to sore/cold/deaf by the end.

Well done all of you. A great adventure no doubt. Can someone tell me what route you took. Having never done anything original in my life, I would like to copy you and hope to organise a tour late this summer. Thanks and best wishes Simon

@Simon the route page has all of our GPS readings presented in a nice map, it’s a bit rough but should show you enough detail – it was a pretty good route, but there is a big stretch in Scotland of almost 100 miles where there are no petrol stations, it stretched our tanks quite a bit!
